About us
IRCBox was born to provide best in class IRC based communication to our customers. Founded by a team of long time IRC administrators, we felt the need to create a reliable service with a dedicated staff, combining a rich feature set with a personal and hand on approach for channel visitors, regulars and channel owners. Big IRC networks offer stability and a large user base, but only offer limited features, lacking in areas such as easy to use channel management, advanced network protection, and personalized bot services. Managing a channel on a big IRC network can prove to be a challenge, leaving channel operators to deal with major inconveniences such as IRC spam, botnet floods and channel takeover attempts. In terms of user experience, smaller IRC networks are a mixed bag, often lacking in stability and a professional approach required to successfully run a channel, since they are often run by amateuristic and opportunistic individuals.
Our goal is to offer the best of what IRC has to offer, with quality-grade servers and software, supported by a team which understands the needs of IRC channel operators and its users, and which are determined to make your IRC channel the success it deserves to be.
